Together with the ImageCutter30, the IH30-BMW003-CID-LU is able to put images particular to the CID of the BMW X3 (F25) and to the Centre Instrument of the MINI (F56). The IH30-BMW003-CID-LU gets its signal from the ImageCutter30, which has already tailored the signal timing to the needs of the specific car interface. The ImageHub30 does the physical adaption. For savety purposes, the original image can be displayed alternatively. E.g. safety-relevant information can be displayed at critical situations.

The supply of the very compact IH30-BMW003-CID-LU comes from the ImageCutter30, easing the integration into the target car.

Transmission of the signals between the ImageCutter30 and the IH30-BMW003-CID-LU is done via standard patch cables known from the network technique. By AC coupling, a DC decoupling of the ImageCutter30 and ImageHub30 is achieved, allowing potential differences which may be present between the front and the rear area of the wiring harness.

Installation guidelines VTI tool

To configure the ImageHub30 for a specific type of car, follow the steps below:


  1. Make sure that the ImageHub30 is connected to the ImageCutter30 and that the ImageCutter is provided with power supply.

  2. Connect the RS-232 interface of the ImageCutter30 with the RS-232 port of your PC.

  3. Download and extract the files of the Zip-Archive and start the configuration tool VtiConfig.exe

  4. Under Communication, select the COM port where the ImageCutter30 is connected to

  5. Download the configuration file for the appropriate type of car. Please make sure that you have the fitting variant of ImageHub30. The configuration file can be found in the car-specific description, which is listed in the compatibility list.

  6. Load the configuration file with the Load/Save button

  7. At the Communication tab, press the Button Write to VTI.
